Little Planet Photography

A while ago I saw a video on Picture Correct and I had to try this myself. I really loved the good tutorial by Gavin Hoey as he explains everything very well!

The equipment I used for the Photo below is:

The lens has a nice wide angle which helps a lot for this picture. If you don’t have a very wide angle you just have to take some more pictures.

The disadvantage of the Tripod I have, is that it has a ball head which rotates in all directions. It’s not possible to lock the camera vertically and only move it horizontally. It helped me for this picture to keep the horizon in the finder window on exactly the same position. Small errors are luckily fixed by Photoshop, so you don’t need to buy a new tripod(head).

Photography weekend in Breda

This weekend I was busy with another hobby of me; photography. I use a Canon 400D and this weekend I used my Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens. I really like this lens a lot since you have a broad view when you put it at 15mm, but also that little extra zoom when you put it at 85mm.

Together with Michael, a good fiend of mine, we went to the carnival in Breda and we both took our 400D’s. It was raining a little, but since we’re able to take some nice pictures, it was worth the effort.

The next day we went to the city center of Breda. We just walked around and took pictures about everything we thought was good enough for a photo. After a lot of photographs we went home, touched the pictures a little bit on the computer and we posted them online on ravenet.nl.

We think we made some nice pictures. Please let me and Michael know what you think about them. Wether you like it or not, we had a great weekend.
